The only thing I don’t like about that Traders mod is the fact that everyone is requiring both the client and server to install it for it to work. As a server owner who has been doing this for years, you can lose your server population that way if you just enable it and hope the clients can figure it out.

I will take a look at the new one. I had no idea they were releasing it again. I still have their old mod version installed. I would be surprised if any of the old mod worked.

I took “safezones!” text out of the title, and turned off the Novy Sobor safe zone because there was nothing there, but a safe zone with god mode. Did you find a trader? I do have parts of their mod / code enabled, but I had not looked at it in a while.

I adjusted it to some optimal day/night settings I like. Look for the updates on the next server reboot.

This is a fine spot for that. I noticed this too last night and looked it up. I read about a bug in the time on 1.0 release, but I am not sure about that. There are mods that we run that could be interfering with the day/night cycle. I will test on my test server to see if I can find the issue.

Thanks for reporting. You are correct sir: DayZ is buggy AF.
The base despawning issue is a known issue with their 1.0 release. We do not reimburse for DayZ bugs, or really reimburse at all. The only time we reimburse/hook up players is if the player is a donor, but we have not had donations since we stopped running servers from May 2017 – May…[Read more]

DayZ server back online. A ‘debug’ setting from a test server was incidentally imported to the live PVP server. This has been reversed and all player data is 100% restored and in tact!

Yeah. It was down due to Steam library conflicts between Arma and Conan… Speaking of which you are right that Arma was down. It looks like when I was troubleshooting conflicts between the 2 games, I did not restart Steam, which causes the Arma server to not work. Fixed!

The blur effect would blur out your whole screen / field of view if you shot an automatic rifle while holding down the trigger. Now you can hold down the trigger or shoot many times in a row with a semi-automatic weapon and there is no blur effect.

Today, I changed the default settings for player sway and blur, leaving recoil alone since I like the recoil setting.
Default Desolation Redux mod “Realism” settings:
Recoil = 1.2
Sway_Multiplier = 1.2
Enable_Blur = true
Blur_Coefficient = 0.05New settings:
